The 90% fail rate for people who start a online business is not an understatement.
Even thought I wish it was. Some say it is as much as 95% depending on who you
talk to. Another stat that is shocking is that they fail withing the first 120 days.
So why is this happening and how can you avoid being one of the 90-95% and join
the 5-10% who are succeeding online with their business.
There are 3 reasons that can and do contribute to those stats. There are more than
just these but I focused on the ones that contribute the most.
1. The Wrong Perceptions about the Internet
For some unknown reason most people think that running a successful internet business
is as easy as getting a website built and hanging out an “open for business‟ sign. They
couldn’t be more wrong.
Running a successful internet business of any kind requires hard work and self-discipline.
You can not start an internet business and think that you can begin making a large income
by just sitting in front of a computer 2-4 hours a day. It’s just not going to happen in the
beginning. While it can be done, there is so much that has to be accomplished to reach
that point.
2. No Business Background
All businesses have two things in common. They are a BUSINESS and they must be run
like a business! It is logical that the people who are in charge of a business need to
understand the accepted practices of business.
Where as you don’t need a college degree in business to be successful it surely wouldn’t
hurt. Having some basic business knowledge is absolutely vital.
3. The Right Mindset Just Isn’t There!
A good mind set can’t insure success but a bad mind set can certainly guarantee failure.

I don’t mind you asking at all. Like yourself I had problems finding a WordPress template that I liked also. I stumbled upon
Flexibility Themes and truly liked them. Currently I am using flexibility 2 which is a free template that comes with some restrictions like the links to the affiliate products in the footer belong to the owner of Flexibility Themes. You can purchase the rights to the use of the footer links for $125. He has a new theme out called Squeeze Flex which is great but is not free.
